Congratulations to our esteemed faculty members 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 – 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐒𝐂-𝐈𝐓𝐑𝐆) for their project: “𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐚, 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭: 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.” This study aims to assess microbial diversity in mine tailings, providing vital insights into biomining and bioremediation, with potential applications in preventing acid mine drainage (AMD) and promoting environmental restoration.
