Prof. Deo is currently a professor at the Marine Science Institute of UP Diliman, specializing in marine plastic pollution and microbial ecology. His continuing valuable contributions to microbial oceanography are creating ripples across the nation and leaving a lasting impact that raises environmental awareness among fellow Filipinos.
