CONGRATULATIONS
Prof. Zenaida Baoanan and Asst. Prof. Deign Frolley Soriano are recent recipients of an International Publication Award (IPA) for their scientific contribution in environmental management and biodiversity work!
The two members of the Department of Biolgy earned an International Publication Award for their study entitled: Biomass and Carbon Stock Assessment of Trees in the Lowland Evergreen Forest of Mt. Iraya, Batanes, Philippines.
The paper was a collaboration with scientists from Benguet State University (BSU) and Batanes State College (BSC) and was produced as part of the Popularizing Access to Biodiversity Information Data and Conservation Opportunities (PABIDACO) project under the CHED-DARE TO Research Grant, with both members of the department being part of the project.
